• Operations Controls

o Load Fleet Map Button (BC780XLT, BC250D, BC296D, BC785D, BC796D Only) –

Loads the Fleet Map block sizes for the selected bank into the ScanControl Memory

Area.

o Prog Fleet Map Button (BC780XLT, BC250D, BC296D, BC785D, BC796D Only) –

Programs the selected Preset or manually programmed Fleet Map into the selected Bank.

NOTE: This function should be performed AFTER the Channel frequencies for the

selected Bank have been programmed into the radio.

o Use Preset Checkbox – Checking this box enables the Preset Fleet Maps Section and

disables the Fleet Map Blocks Section allowing the user to select a Preset Fleet Map.

Unchecking this box disables the Preset Fleet Maps Section and enables the Fleet Map

Blocks Section allowing the user to manually program the Fleet Map Blocks

o Help Button - Click to open this Help file.

o Close Button – Click to close the Edit Fleet Map Screen and return to the Edit Banks

Screen.

NOTE REGARDING FLEET MAP PROGRAMMING IN THE BC895XLT: In the

BC895XLT, computer control of Fleet Map programming is very limited. The only method

proven to reliably program the Fleet Map under computer control in a Type I bank is to first

CLEAR the radio so all the Fleet Map parameters are initialized. If you have recently

CLEARED your radio or have never programmed a Type I system into the bank you are

programming then proceed with automatic Fleet Map programming. If, however, you don’t

wish to CLEAR your radio or are not sure if a Type I trunking system has ever been

programmed into the bank you will have to program the Fleet Map manually. ScanControl

will warn you of this issue during Fleet Map programming of the BC895XLT. To manually

program the Fleet Map take the radio out of Remote mode, for the desired bank select a preset

Fleet Map or program the Fleet Map manually using the radio's keypad as per the Operating

Guide.
